About Our Blog
This blog started out as a place to share the progress and excitement of our pregnancy and, thanks in part to a faithful online and real-life fan base, has been inspired to continue as the journal of my adventures with a new baby, a deployed hubby, and our beautiful family.
A note for the squeamish, conservative, or easily offended: Life isn’t edited for content and neither am I. Past pregnancy posts include more info than you learned in health class, baby posts spare no detail of bodily function or poop description and my other posts frequently contain amounts of sarcasm that exceed the Surgeon General’s recommendation.
For those of you just joining us, “Blueberry” was our nickname for Keyven during my pregnancy.
We chose it because when started looking up information on the Internet one site had comparisons of the size of the embryo to various fruits. We were at just over seven weeks and it was the size of a blueberry. We called it that as a “code word” around our family and friends until we told them and it just sort of stuck.
